Cast Iron Skillet Ingredients:
- One (1) whole chicken
- McCormick Rotisserie Seasoning
- Avacado oil
Cast Iron Skillet Directions:
- Place cast iron skillet in cold oven on the lowest rack
- Heat over to 500 degrees
- Spatchcock your whole chicken (take out backbone and crack the keel bone)
- Pat chicken dry
- Add avacado oil and season both sides
- Place chicken in cast iron skillet (breast side down)
- Place cast iron skillet in the oven and turn oven down to 450 degrees
- Bake skin side down for around 18 -20 min (or reaches a good color)
- Flip chicken and cook until internal temp in breast is 165 degrees
- Rest 10 min Smoker
Smoker Ingredients:
- One (1) whole chicken
- McCormick Sweet and Smokey Seasoning
- Avacado oil
Smoker Directions:
- Place smoker to 350 degrees
- Spatchcock your whole chicken (take out backbone and crack the keel bone)
- Pat chicken dry
- Add avacado oil and season both sides
- Place chicken in smoker (breast side up)
- Smoke chicken until internal temp in breast is 165 degrees
- Rest 10 min
