Serves approx. 6-8 ppl.
Ingredients:
- 4 1/2 lb. turkey breast
- Your favorite Texas Style Brisket Rub
- 1 stick of butter, sliced into 8 pats
Directions:
- Set smoker to 270 degrees
- Lay turkey on a cutting board and remove skin and excess fat.
- Season all sides with your favorite Texas Style Brisket Rub.
- Place turkey in smoker and cook until you reach an internal temp. of 145 degrees (approx. 2 1/2 a 3 hours).
- Place aluminum foil on cutting board and lay four pats of butter on top.
- Remove turkey from smoker and place (what was originally the skin side down) on butter that is sitting on the aluminum foil.
- Place four more pats of butter on top of turkey and wrap entirely with aluminum foil.
- Place back in smoker until you reach an internal temp of 160 degrees.
- Remove from smoker and rest for one (1) hour.
- Cut into 1/4 inch slices and enjoy!
