Serves eight (8) burgers
Ingredients:
- Six (6) slices of bacon, chopped
- Eight (8) oz portabella mushrooms, chopped
- Four (4) cloves of garlic, minced
- Two (2) lbs. hamburger meat
- One (1) egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup milk
- One (1) tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup bbq sauce
Instructions:
- In a large pot, on medium high heat, cook bacon and set aside.
- Add mushrooms and garlic to the remaining bacon grease. Cook and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix hamburger meat, cooked mushrooms, garlic & bacon, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, worcestershire sauce and bbq sauce.
- Make into patties and place in smoker or grill.
- Approx. 3 minutes, prior to reaching your desired doneness, glaze with your favorite bbq sauce.
- Pull and rest for at least 5 minutes.
- Add patty to a brioche bun along with your favorite toppings.
